A couple of weeks ago, The Deccan Herald reported that Faith Lutheran church had their church building destroyed on the evening of Thursday, May 26. Faith Lutheran Church is in Pillanna Garden.
The destruction of the building appears to be the result of a property dispute. Please keep the members of Faith Lutheran Church in your prayers.
Mr. Ravi Jesupatham visited the congregation and shared that “the congregation is planning to have a temporary structure immediately to conduct worship services every Sunday and thereafter reconstruction of a new building.” The congregation received comfort from others leaders as well, including the IELC Election Commissioner Mr. Benjamin Franklin, and former Ambur Synod President, Rev. Thangaraj.
Despite the work of wicked men to destroy the work of God, the Holy Spirit continued to give His gifts and proclaim the Word of God. The people gathered to receive Word and Sacrament gifts. Even without a building, wherever two or three are gathered in the name of Jesus, there He is to give His gifts.
Mr. Ravi also reported that “the pastor, Rev. Jeremiah, and the members requested for all possible help to construct a temporary structure and then the new building.” Please stay tuned as opportunities arise to help this IELC congregation.
